Where I stayed
Virginia Beach KOA
We took our times getting out of Staunton and driving to Virginia Beach. On the way we stopped to have some leftovers for lunch at a rest stop. We continued on and got to the KOA by 4:30, just in time to check in before they closed. Our spot is nice and close to the bathrooms, which is nice since we are still winterized and not using the facilities on board. We didn't do to much besides get settled in. We cooked for the first time in the camper. It went well. We just had some venison steaks and mac n cheese. After dinner we played The Game of Life. If we go according to Life I will be a millionaire so I am going to say it is extremely accurate.
Saturday, January 22nd
We had decided in DC to schedule a trip to go whale watching. The boat left at noon today, but we had to be there at 11:30
Sunday, January 23rd
We spent most of the day trying to plan out February and March for where we want to go. Nothing is set in stone of course. We then headed out to watch the Steelers game. We went to the bar suggested by our cab driver and it was an excellent choice. The whole place was decked out with Steelers stuff. The owner was there and is a Steeler fan, and the beers were only $1 (great for our budget). We had a great time and Jared became friends with everyone in the bar. Since the Steelers won and are headed to the SUPERBOWL, we might have to end up going to Dallas now
Monday, January 24th
I was actually a little hung over today and we were pretty tired from being out so late for the game, so we decided just to hang out and do nothing. It was a nice day of movies and relaxing.
Tuesday, January 25th
We got up, got our stuff together and headed on to our next location. We spent one night in Fayetteville, NC. We didn't really do much here. By the time we got there we checked in got all settled and worked on some plans for where we were going to on Wednesday (My Birthday!!)
