Last night we went out to dinner at The Light Horse in Alexandria with Krieger and his cousin Lauren.  After an excellent dinner we headed upstairs to the bar area to hang out with some of Krieger's friends. It was a good time. Since we are all getting old we were a little hungover today. HAHA.

Today we got up and took the metro in to DC in time for our tour of the Capital Building at 10:30. From the Capital Building we took the underground tunnel to the Library of Congress. After the Library of Congress we worked our way back around the Capital Building to start our 2 mile trek down the Mall. Krieger pointed out all the buildings along the way to us so that we would know where things were and could decided which ones we would want to go back to over the next couple of days.  We had an excellent greasy lunch at a truck stop (we all needed it). Then we continued down the Mall. Check out the pictures for all the different sites we saw today.

It was a pretty full and exhausting day. We just got done a great dinner that Krieger cooked for us and watching the Steelers beat the Ravens!!

can't leave you with 0 comments...... great day in DC, very cool. Missed you at the Steelers party. No one could replace your "shot time" call so we are going to launch an idol type search!

An idol type of search is definitely necessary to replace my shot time calls. They have to be able to hold it really long.
