Actually, I don't think we could get sick of Japan that easily.
Yesterday, after working on our material at the house we went to the office and over the course of an hour we received a crash course in teaching english by Becky, our gracious host for the last week and the week we're going into. We were given methods, teaching aids and ideas and I think we both got excited by the prospect of the teaching we have ahead of us.
When we walk to the offices at ADRA, we often choose to go about a half a block out of our way and stop into the conbini (convenience store) called Lawson and get a snack or a hot tea or something
Perhaps it's just in my head but it seems like we eat out a lot, I think it's because as we meet different people each of them like to take us in turn to their favorite restaurant. We've been to buffets, pizza places, and last night to Kaiten Sushi--we also make our best efforts, I think partly due to my prodding, to hit up every Mr. Doughnut restaurant to which we come within walking distance. Two other missionaries, Calene and Brook, decided we needed to try Kaiten Sushi, which was this neat restaurant where you sit at table next to a conveyer belt and as the food goes by endlessly, you just grab whatever looks good
After the sushi we came home and decided to make videos to post on this blog. I made a video that is about two and a half minutes chronicling the strangeness of Japan and all the tourism we did. Michael's video will focus on the work we are charged to do here and will probably be up soon too. I hope you will watch them and give us some feed back.
Have a great day or night.
In case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening and good night.
