Aristotele and check in. Twin room.... Grrrrrrrrr. Relax, shower,
After a LONG sleep
we woke up at 14:10, Aircon working a dream. We got sorted and headed
out to explore...We found our route
into Athens, bought water and food but NO humous!! Ate in the
National Garden having walked past the National Library, University
and Academy. We fed the pigeons and chaffinches in the gardens and
went for a walk. Saw some funny looking guards guarding a big
building doing a funny walk (they would swing one leg a few times,
keep it up in the air for a bit then clip their heel on the floor
some animals in a little enclosure (ducks, geese, rabbits, cockerels,
budgies, parrots, mountain goats, peacocks) and the botanical museum.
We then walked to
the Zappion palace and saw the Acropolis in the distance. Gabi's
mutant blister is still growing! Ouchie.
Panathinaiko Stadium... AMAZING!! It would be awesome to be Greek!!
From there to the Acropolis station and sat in Crescendo drinking a
Freddocino. Blister was very big and annoying! Off the pharmacy for
blister and decided that Stavros (not his real name) the old guy in
the corner was an expert at blisters so he got his syringe out!!!
eeeeeeekkk!!! With his shaky hand he sorted the blister out and
cleaned it up.
After that ordeal
we went to Larissa station to find some info on trains from Athens to
find that no one knows anything! At least the shop keeper on the way
home was nice and gave us some free plastic cups from our cheap red
