We have been to majahual which is also known as costa maya on the cruise ship lines. The water is an amazing colour and is the same without sunglasses. So clear and aqua then deep iridescent blue. Pity the cruise ships go there as it's the Mexicans favourite town they go now tulum is busy. It s located 60ks off highway on another long straight and flat road.Very quiet once the ships leave but we are shocked to see plastic everywhere, we travelled down the coast further and it is very remote but still has so much debris.
left today then headed to a massive lake known for its seven different colours. So a nice late afternoon swim in the fresh water was great. We are staying in a casa set right on the lake with a moat in the garden, 10ducklings swimming around, mangroves amongst, massive buildings in this area must be mexicos mansions. Lying in bed now listening to such loud frog calls, must be bull frogs.  It really is deafening but so cool to hear them. The roads here have been flat wide and long, feels like you are driving forever. Off to hopefully stay near calakmul biosphere reserve tomorrow. It has unesco ruins that are also known for the wildlife, might see a jaguar.....ha ha ...oh well hopefully the howler monkeys and a toucan. Nick is snoring in competition with the bull frogs, don't know which is louder.
