After checking out of the villa on our last day, we decided to take the 2-hour local train trip to Hiroshima, as we were closer that we had ever been, and it seemed a convenient time. We arrived in Hiroshima at about 11:30am and spent the afternoon touring around the Peace Park and the museum before a massive thunderstorm forced us to take shelter in a ramen shop. We ate some delicious spicy ramen ("Chili Chili Ramen") for lunch, and then walked through a couple of shopping arcades before hopping on the Shinkansen for the 2.5-hour trip back to Nagoya.

I was able to take pictures of the peace park and some outdoor areas, but pictures seemed to be against the rules (or at least taboo) in the museum, so I wasn't able to take any there.
