During Golden Week, I took a quick overnight trip to Osaka with Fiona and Donna. We did a bit of sightseeing, went out for dinner, and went dancing at night. We discovered that the rumours are actually true--Osaka people ARE much friendlier than Nagoya people, both foreigners and Japanese alike, and even people with only the smallest amount of English were talkative and approachable. In Nagoya they just run away, or stare.
