We headed of to Scarborough which funnily enough is also by the sea. On the way we checked out Castle Howard which is a 10,000 acre estate owned by the Howard family. The castle dates back to the 18th century and is magnificent. There are 200 listed buildings and monuments on the estate. Next stop was Robin Hoods Bay which should have been a short hike up the road but there had been a fatal accident and the road was closed so all traffic was being diverted via small country lanes. Good for us as we got to see lots although it was not an easy drive due to a horsefloat and coaches that were finding things rather squeezy. We eventually made it though but sadly it was too wet to get out of the car other than to pee. Walking around the paths was out of the question. Next was Whitby a fishing town which also would have been lovely if it was a clear day
WOD - Cowlets known as calves to most of us.
COD - losing my medication and getting no assistance from my sister to find it.
Till next time
Be good to your Mothers they are so very special.
