Hi all,

I had to let you all know about my second birthday celebration. Because we were out in the Sahara on my birthday we celebrated last night at home. The kids and Andrew prepared a feast of Chocolate. Eight courses in all. Yes, all chocolate! I was too full to eat any cake!!!!!! They had prepared a special chair for me and Brett fanned me with a palm branch. There were flowers cut from the garden and everything! I am truly spoiled.

We have had two days of rain here. It is much needed for the locals although it does put a damper on our beach time. We were told by our driver that the island or Jerba gets only 20 days of rain a year! The rest of the weeks forcast looks good for us though. The other day at the beach we bought a 1.5l bottle of coke for 30 centsTD!! Some of the prices are so cheap and then others are not.

The kids have recently stopped eatting meat. We went to the local market where they unfortunately got to witness: full dead animals hanging from the ceiling, a cows head-eye ball still in- sitting on a table, and a man pouring a garbage cans worth of blood down a drain. Even Brett our self proclaimed "meataterian" has sworn off meat for now.

Our shake me rattle me gift tradition has continued. Morgan asked one question and quessed his gift correctly. Brett threw in the towel before she began and just opened the gift. Darcy and I are still playing and I have to wrap Andrew's gift before he cqn begin.

On that note I better say goodbye. I was glad to hear that all of the students and teachers in Ottawa got a break from each other today. On a Friday too! What luck!

We look forward to seeing you all soon. Thanks to all from Holy Trinity who have taken the time to write.

Julia
