So on our last day in Turkey we went shopping in Istanbul. I love shopping in Turkey as it is fun to see how the price drops as you go to leave. We bought a blanket that is close to King size and very decorative. When Andrew asked the price he was told 300 Turkish lira (1 lira = .71 cdn) by the time he was leaving the shop the store owner ad dropped the price to 60 Lira. I'm sure he still made a profit at that but I wonder how many tourists pay the 300?

I had an embarrasing moment where I fell off the side of the curb right into the main street. My knee is still swollen and bruised but I thankful I was wearing my jeans!

Bratwurst

We flew out of Istanbul in the late afternoon and arrived in Zurich around 7:30pm. My friend Leigh from high school was waiting for us. It sure was nice to see him again! The kids really enjoyed him as he was very funny with them. He even promised to buy each of them a motorcycle on their 16th birthdays-he is full of empty threats! We also got to meet his girlfriend of 2 years Katrine. She is very nice. Leigh kept commenting "Just ask the authentic Swiss country girl". We had a walk around the beautiful town of Zurich qnd wished we were staying longer. The next morning we were up and on a 10am flight to London.
