Vand Viang is such a fun place, great atmosphere to chill out, watch some much needed TV - every cafe is playing Friends so it meant we didn't have to talk to each other for a few hours each day!!!
A group of us hired a tube each and set off floating down the river, it wasn't long (2mins) before we stumbled upon the first bar and swing. Enthusiastically we launched ourselves one by one into the river. With another 5 bars and even bigger swings we knew we were going to enjoy the day. Stopping off for a few games of volleyball...the English at a definite disadvantage (as with all sports), however we redeemed ourselves playing pool in the tree hut (the wonky table could of helped).
Next day we hired some bikes and decided to go exploring the area....I was alittle apprehensive as cycling all day inthe blistering heat is not my idea of fun, but I was rescued by a couple of English girls; Maddie and Leah who joined us, who were very steady on their bikes - phew a bit of girlie support! We discovered the most beautiful clear blue lagoon, relieved to cool off, we chilled out there for a while. After cycling through these tiny little villages we found another lagoon and a cave. O.kay, so flip flops is not the ideal footwear when climbing in and out of a pitch black, slippery cave but with Jamie being very organised and bringing a torch, I managed to avoid adding to my reputation of being accident prone and ventured into the cave - which was the size of the Millenium stadium...huge!
