Hello Everyone again!
Well just a quick update on what has been going on over our side of the world. Anneka has got a job working in London at the British Law Society of England and Wales doing administration for one of their departments. Its not the most exciting job in the world but there is definately a lot to learn in the area of Law as I am constantly liasing with solicitors etc in both private authorities and the local government. It also pays the bills so thats the main thing!! People in NZ complain about the time it takes to travel to their jobs but thats nothing comapred to my 2 hours travelling to work each day and then 2 hours home! Now i know how lucky i was to be working 5minutes drive to work! At least it keeps me fit as i have to walk from my house to the train station, then catch the train into London, then walk to the bus stop and catch the bus to the high court which is around the corner from my work, then walk to work from there!! Its a bit of a bummer when its raining though and i know im going to dread it when it snows! If the trains run at all as trains sometimes dont run due to leaves being on the tracks! So i would hate to think what would happen if there was snow on them.
Jamie is wanting to get into the IT Industry so he can be a computer geek! haha So hes just looking for courses at the moment to do via correspondance so he can work during the day. So pretty much just been working hard for the last month! In the weekends we have been hanging out with Jamies cousins, going to the pubs, the clubs, the movies (Go James Bond), SLEEPING, and Christmas shopping!!!!! Yay im so excited about christmas and wanted to open my presents early but im not allowed to, aww. The other weekend we went to the Charles Dickins Festival in a town called Rochester. There was soo many people there. They had a fair grounds, where the guys couldnt resist playing at all the stands and came away with an arm full of soft toys for the girls! They also had a fake snow machine and people walking around dressed in the old English costumes. We both tried mulled wine but dont think we will be drinking that again . At the close of the festival they had a street parade where everyone that was dressed up, bands etc came down the street. Some of the costumes were quite amazing!!
Christmas day was spent at Jamies Uncle and Auntys house with all the cousins. Had a yummy christmas lunch of turkey and roast vegetables and after as i think most people do decided that our new years resolutions would be to go on a diet! We spent the day relaxing, playing cranimum (a great board game!) and poker. Jamie got a huge poker table and hundreds of chips for christmas - so he was very excited!! We both got completely spolit will all our presents. And another treat was about to come in a few days... NEW YEARS TRIP TO GERMANY!!! So i hope you all had a wonderful christmas and new years. We really did miss everyone so much. Hope you are all well and have an amazing 2007!!
