Wow its hot here, its 37 degrees today & rising, they reckon 40 by friday. Perth is a beautiful city & very laid back for its size. We have walked most of it & yes, mum has too!! (shes doing really well but i hope its not just stubbornmess, i dont want her ruining the rest of the holiday for herself by overdoing it). We saw most of the city centre on our 1st day & climbed up to Kings park for an amazing view of the city & Swan river. Today we went on a cruise down the river to Fremantle (17km away) which is another very pretty place (bit like a smaller 1 storey Brighton (without the dodgy suspects) & had a dip in the Indian ocean & did a tour of the prison built there to house their forefathers. Tomorrow, i think we will go back up to Kings park (bus this time) to do the treetop walk they have built through all the unbelievable flora & fauna (i swear some of it is from Star-trek) & then a ferry across to the zoo. Bought myself a big brimmed Aussie hat to stop my head from burning, so no laughing in the photos!! Hope everyone is well.
