G'day, all from New South Wales!
We are currently in the aptly named Manly as the Speedo clad aussies filled with testosterone prancing around trying to catch a frisbee with surely testify to this!!
Manly was named as such due to being discovered by an explorer who saw Aboriginal warriors here and he thought....oh they are a bit manly....true story!! Must of been a sailor!!
Anyway, although we haven't quite hit the summer heights of Europe, Many is still a lovely port town with golden sandy beaches everywhere!! We have been most impressed though, by the awsome shopping opportunities this place brings. I'm not sure if we mentioned this before but all of my t-shirts shrank in the wash (due to shock I think!) and so I have replenished my stock in true tourist style! We also spent some time sunning ourselves on the beach and soaking up the aussie culture by being laid back and chillin.
Our accommodation is rather questionable though. After leaving the gracious and lovely Blue Mountains YHA, we have managed to land ourselves a right crap-hole!! Going for cheap sometimes doesn't pay as I think we are both suffering from illnesses due to damp and several questionable stains in the kitchen!!
We decided that the a homeless person would not even dream of entering the bed and so for once we used our sleeping bag liners!!
Anyway, we are heading back to Sydney central tommorrow to prepare ourselves for the bridge climb and so we'll report back after that wonderful experience!
No worries mates
J & H xx
P.S For those who have Skype, we have just installed it and even have a swanky new headset so let us know and we will add you to our contacts. Skype is free so get downloadin'!
