Well hello from our last European destination!!
It has been one hell of a journey with loads of memories taken from the cultural world of Europe! We have been on the road for 3 months and have traveled through 6 countries and are well and truly knackered!! But if we were to pick the perfect place to finish, Dubrovnik is it!!
It all started with a bizarre bus journey in which we were in a bus, but in a ferry....it doesn't sound that strange until your actually in that situation......anyway on to this blog. As with all our travels on to a new place we struggled with finding our accomodation, we arrived in the dark which made it worse then normal and the directions we had were terrible as well as the map. After hours of searching we eventually stumbled upon it with the landlady waiting for us.................she had been there a while!!!

So we eventually made it into the beautifully preserved medieval old town of Dubrovnik, which was heavily bombed in the mid 90s, but you certainly cant tell now. Dubrovnik has it all, the sea with numerous beaches, an old perimeter wall which you can walk on, a bit like the bar walls in York but actually nice, English and Irish bars and even a Wii bar!!
We have been busy seeing the sights and indulging in the Croatian atmosphere, we walked the walls up to the Minceta Fortress, Taken pictures of the Pile Gate, which is a drawbridge you have to cross in order to get into the old town. We have also sat by Onofrio fountain, in which all people visiting the city had to use to cleanse themselves before entering, also we have seen Orlandos column and last but not least, been to a fantastic aqarium!!
We have been staying in a lovely apartment which is built into the surrounding walls and on a morning we can hear the American tourists shouting out.......Oh My God, Im wearing socks with sandals!!!
The weather has been simply stunning, cant believe it is coming up to November here and we are getting burnt by the endless rays and mid 20 temps!! London will be a culture shock!!
Well thats us done for Europe, were gonna take a quick break and we will then be back when we arrive in Oz.
Many thanks to you all for your comments, keep them coming and we will continue to put you off your work again from the other side of the world!!
Adios
