Hello again all from our penultimate European destination!
Well after an amazing 3 day stay in Hvar Town......Did I mention that everyone should go there??? We hit Korcula at the wrong time!! Apart from one restaurant, one shop and a couple of kids kicking around a footy, we were pretty much the local population!!
Korcula itself, like Hvar is a gorgeous small town encased by medievil walls and I bet it is gorgeous when there is life present. Anyway, we decided to hire some bikes for the day and the guy behind the hire desk, firstly was amazed to see anyone, and secondly gave us a great deal with 10 per cent off and with extra time. So off we went up the winding roads, with the sun on our backs and the breeze whistling through our shorts!! About 18 second into the bike ride, Heather shouts out to me that she isnt feeling too good and so we stopped and had a rest. The poor thing was not in a good state, with her body shaking and her eyes blank we decided to go down to the port and have a picnic there. So the list of things that Heather gets sick on amounts to.....Planes, trains, automobiles, boats, buses and the latest.....bikes!! She will make a traveller yet!!
On the last night we saw a spectacular show of flares, flashes and horns, including boat horns as the bride and groom from an earlier wedding were making their way to their luxury cruiseliner!! Get them hands in your pocket Mr Dave King.....I dont come cheap!!
Anyway, we did take some piccys of the lifeless but still lovely town of Korcula, so enjoy

I gave Hev a useful bike trailer link recently....I'm sure you could shoehorn her in to one and problem solved!!
