On to our adventures of Island Hopping - our first Island is Brac. To get there we have to take a ferry from Split which takes an hour and then a bus through the middle of nowhere, climbing hills and going round corners which just lead to drops down cliff edges..............but when we get there the place where we are staying we are not disappointed!! A little place called Bol, it is one of the Oldest towns on the Island of Brac. We are greeted from the bus by the owner of our apartment, Croatian people are so friendly!!! And we make our way back to another cheap apartment that has absolutely everything and is set in the perfect location.................Could get use to this life!!!
Im afraid there isnt much to say about Bol but as you will see from the pictures it is amazing and the home to one of the Worlds most famous beaches the Zlatni rat or Golden Horn it extends oout nearly half a kilometre perpendicularly to the sea. The tip of this renowned beach is constantly changing shape due to the effect of the waves and currents. Apparantly this beach gets longer every year! We spent an afternoon here with about 6 other people.....................it was amazing!!! Bols population is only 2500 however come summer it hits 10,000 people so we are so pleased that we have come as this time of year as sitting alone on this beach is one of the most amazing feelings - youll understand when you see the pictures.
Next stop is the Island of Hvar
