Well after a run in with the police and a narrow escape, we find ourselves in the gorgeous sunny Zadar!
What would you expect to get in England for a place to stay for 15 pounds a night?? A re-inforced cardboard box perhaps?? At best maybe a rotten old worn out bed with a cat guffing on you???
Well this is what we got...........for 15 quid a night!!!!!!
We had our own sea view and a rather wet front garden!! The weather has been amazing for the time of year and we have had a spectacular storm or two to boot!!
Zadar itself is a sleepy town full of Roman history, unfortunately that history has given way to the tourism industry and there are only a few remains left. It is still a gorgeous but a tiny penisular, around 100,000 only population.
The buses into town were remenisant of that in Rimini as every square inch of the bus is crammed full of people, and the bus driver still tries to load more on....as he was a moron!!
The title of this blog is due to two smashing incidents. The first was we had chilled a bottle of wine to have on our balcony after a hard days sunbathing and shopping only for the fridge to throw it off the shelves and onto the tiled floor covering every single nook and cranny in glass and wine....doh!!
So the next night we bought another bottle again after another hard day relaxing by the sea, this time only for Jamie to trip over a glass of wine, whilst serving up a particularly large slice of chocolate log, smashing the glass into a million pieces!!!
Oh yeah, the owner doesn't know so we have done another runner!!!
See ya in Biograd......
