After a good Journey in some First Class seats we arrive in Milan and immediately you are wowed by the Station - it is massive and very impressive. We headed to find our hotel which is a 3 star bargain with FREE BREAKFAST and Free Internet - although you can't get onto Travelpod, Yahoo, Banks, anything with a password.................so you can understand why it is free!!!

We decided to venture out into Milan, not that late but already a lot of dodgy looking people hanging around and you get a real uneasy feeling. Needing to get some money we stop at the only bank we could find (To say people spend a lot of money in Milan there are no cash points) Unfortunately though Jamie's cash card is swallowed by the cash machine - one of those horrible moments when you know what's going to happen but you can't get hold of your card - aaarrrgghhhh!! Anyway the rest of the evening was spent sorting that little problem out - Thanks to Jo, Helen and my mum and dad for your help on that one !!!

So a new day, new start Jamie's pleased as he is now a kept man - or so he thinks..............I still don't have a ring!! And after a huge breakfast (you would have though we hadn't eaten in days as we consumed our body weight in toast!) we decided to head into the centre of Milan to see what Culture we could find. We got the Metro straight to the Duomo which is the biggest Gothic Caterdral in the world!, and it was amzing to look at. The only think that lets it down is the black men grabbing hold of your wrists to put bands on which they say are free and that get nasty when you won't give them any money.............. we didn't stick around which is a shame as it is beautiful.

We did find a lovely park in the heart of Milan and out of character of the place as there was no noise whatsoever - bliss to chill out a listen to a few tunes.

To be honest apart from that Milan has really disappointed us, it really is just a place for shopping and business and rife with dodgy looking people, it makes you feel very paranoid and think terrible thoughts about everyone (justifyably so as someone got her bag stolen and another pick-pocketed at the station)........ So I'm glad that we are now heading to Bologna.

Hope you like the pictures, the few that we took!!

Take Care All
