Hello again fellow bloggers!
Sorry for the delay in blog updates at the moment but we ran into some itinery problems. We have been staying way way way outside Aix En Provence due to the lack of accommodation - but as always there is a story to tell!
So we arrived in good time and spirits in Aix and it could be described as a mini Barcelona. So we trot off to the tourism office to check out where our digs are. Oh, er we have to get on another bus - we had just travelled on one for the last 45 minutes so how far can this place be?? We then boarded the bus, and arrived at the train station - by this time panic is spreading within the camp as we have no idea how to get to the hotel.
So we decide to get a taxi and in doing so fall for the oldest trick in the book. Our friendly driver doesn't speak a word of English and with help from his mate we agree a fee of 15 euros to our accommodation. 48 seconds later we arrive at the hotel feeling severly ripped off and with no hope of moving from the hotel for 2 days we were also trapped!
However, the owners of the hotel will go down in legandry status as they really made our stay memorable. They gave us a ride into town, free champagne and desserts galore and they even dropped the price of the room by 10 per cent and gave us a ride back to the station. We can not thank them enough for what they did!
So there isn't many piccys but did manage to get a sunset so enjoy
Also we are going for a new world record in mozzie bites!!
Toulon next for some beach action before Cannes
Take care H and J
