We are now into our 3rd day in Lyon, and we have been doing some serious resting after the 3 big cities, we were knackered!!! Not to mention broke!!
Lyon is a small but beautiful place and very relaxed compared to Paris. We have been out and about though, starting with, yep you guest it......H+M Lyon!!!! Finding our hostel (hotel) was hard work mainly due to Heather not writing down the Street Name!!
Yesterday we travelled west to the Roman ruins and ampetheatres which was great as you get there on a cable car and the views from the top are amazing! We also visited St Jeans cathedral and had a baguette in the park.
We sucummed to American food as we wanted a break from culture and bought a sandwhich from a stall. My god this thing was the average size of a nuclear submarine, it was awesome!! On the subject of food, we have been very good and are conributing to the local economy by buying from supermarkets and street stalls - very nice too!
We are now working on the next leg of our journey, we don't quite know where we are heading yet!

....you wouldn't think I went out with a French girl for 8 months seeing as that's the only phrase I know!! Anywho, looks like you are both having a great time -although Jamie, I am disappointed at the lack of any photos of you performing the robot at any historic landmarks. Your report card reads C+ 'Must do better!' (although if you managed to get a picture of you doing the robot next to a French street mime artist, that would gain you respect for life!)
