We saw Leonardo's Last Supper painting in Milan yesterday morning and made it to Florence in the afternoon, and are entranced with this lovely medieval city. We are in a great location, across from the San Lorenzo church and a block away from the famous Duomo cathedral. Today we went to see Michaelangelo's famous David sculpture at the Galleria della Academia, and we also saw the famous Baptistry. We are going to see the Uffizzi gallery tomorrow and the interior of the Duomo. There is so much to see in this city it is almost overwhelming. We might just have to make another trip back! The food is delicious, especially the gelato.
