Heading south from Grenada, we decided to skip Isla de Omnatepe and (re?)learn to surf..

The evening of our arrival turned out to be pretty cool -we arrived at the right time of year for turtles to beach themselves, and come lay some eggs.. Pretty inspirational, really, seeing how much effort these buggers go through to lay eggs of which only 1 in 2000 will survive to adulthood. Figure the easiest option isn't on their agenda..

A rather sleepless night due to some of the antics of a couple of American guys in the dorm - (don't ask) was followed by the next day spent, after a hellish off road trip north, sunning, swimming, and surfing (i actually caught some waves!) on a beautiful deserted beach.. Nicaragua certainly isn't going to last long in its current state - its too beautiful to avoid the marauding (c) Whittaker, 2006 hoards..

That night we found a seaside restaurant with an apparently impromptu show out the front.. (again, don't ask).

And our short trip to possibly the epicenter of exhibitionism was over..
