Hello

Sale another little town not much different from other small aussie towns . We found a nice campsite and when I say nice I mean cheap !! so we decided to stay a couple of nights . Whilst here we treat ourselves and went to the cinema to watch Australia "well in Rome" as they say . Ruth liked the film lets just leave it at that. Another night we went out for a drink I sung on Kareoke with this australian lad we had been talking too and an Argentinian kept buyin us shots a very merry evening.

Gelantipy - After living it up in Sale we decided to get some work done so out came the wooffing book .We found a place called Karoonda park that would have us .It was in the snowy river maybe you've seen the film the man  from snowy river  ? The first job at Karoonda was working in the  kitchen it was a christmas party sixty OAPS . It felt really christmassy i put some lights up outside  and there were carols playing .Me and ruth washed alot of pots that day and worked pretty hard after all the oldies had eaten there dinner we were asked to go out front where we got a round of applause very embarrassing.
During school term Karoonda has school groups doing activities such horse riding , rope swings , rafting and orienteering.Whilst we were there no kids. We slept in  one of the dorms ten beds for just me and ruth. We also had our own badminton court. Karoonda is also a sheep and beef cattle farm so we got too help with some sheep shearing we both now know how too wrestle a sheep to the floor , I gave some cows  vaccinatations.
One day we were took along to a cattle auction , got up at 5 in the morning drove for 5 hours . It was an experience seeing the auction but man we must have seen a thousand cows go through the auction we were there all day and it got a little boring. We also got to do some horse riding through the bush I'm a natural on a horse it's all in the hips you know. Also staying at Karoonda was a guy from Ireland called Gerry he was hitching around oz and had walked to Karoonda from the last town about 40 miles . He was a real character and seemed to have been every where in the world . Also staying there were 2 Malaysian girls Avril and Sue Mei they were on work experience as vet students . They were a good laugh and loved ,well everything , everything made them laugh and they were both always smiling . Before we left the Maly girls made Ruth a little phrase book for when we travel to Malaysia the book also contained advice and contact details a very touching momento. I think we both a little sad leaving Karoonda we had met some really nice people , Paul the owner was a little like crocadile dundee only a bush version ,lived all his life on the mountain and rarely vetured into a city a propper fair dinkum aussie bloke .
