Melbourne this is the biggest city we've  been in for quiet a while .We had picked a campsite from one of our many brochures which Ruth has collected the only trouble was finding it in the very busy traffic .After about an hour of bickering and gettin lost I found the campsite (Ruth will probabley edit this later but don't believe her) .The first day we opted to leave the car and jump on the bus into the city. Melbourne seemed like most other cities ,big department stores a Mcdonalds on every corner .The city was well serviced with a big tram system I reckon maybe the biggest in world im not sure .We jumped on the tram that did a cicular of the city centre this was free saw the famous MCG ( Melbourne cricket ground),the London eye well it looked like the London eye. After the little ride on the tram we looked around many many shops .
The next day we went to Saint Kilda a district of Melbourne . Quiet a trendy area with loads of coffe shops with good looking people sat outside Ruth once again liked the shops I also didnt mind them. After St Kilda we went to Brunswick street for a look around this was like a bit of a student area ,again a lot of coffee shops .Its funny back home in sheffield i would'nt pay or find the time to sit and have a coffee but whislt travelling we are both enjoyin having five minutes to sit and relax. The weather is still very varied warming up a little but still rain never stays away for long.

Phillip island- We left Melbourne after three days and headed for Phillip island but not before a little detour to Ramsey street . Ruth assures me it looked exactly the same as on Tv but I did 'nt really see it .Ruth ran around like a giddy child while I took pictures of her outside various houses.
After many pictures been taken we sped off to phillip island .Its a small island just off the mainland connected by road . When we arrived we went and bought a small ball and played on the beach I taught Ruth how too throw and catch. The main attraction on Phillip island is going to see little Penguins so that evening thats we did .After paying our entry fee we went and sat on the side of the beach in the sand dunes with about 500 other people and waited for the penguins too appear out of the sea. Every day the penguins head out fishing and then return to the mainland to feed the young . After sitting for about half an hour the penguins started appearing hundreds of em lining up waiting for the cover of darkness to hide them from predators . All of a sudden one made a dash for the dunes and all the rest followed waddling across the sand. After the last few had left the sea we walked arond the dunes and saw the penguins really close up regurgitating food (spewing up)  and feeding the young Ruth found this very cute ,it just made me hungry and I wonder what Ruth had for dinner earlier mmmmmm.   sorry no pics no cameras allowed

Wilsons Promonotory-   brum brum next stop known by the locals as the Prom. A national park with mountains sandy beaches with blue sea and crashing waves . We climbed mount Oberon not really a mountain more like a two hour walk up hill but all the same some awesome views from the top. Very basic campsite ,while I went for a cold shower I left Ruth cooking some sausage . I returned to find out that Ruth had been side tracked and some sea gulls had stolen the sausage out of the pan I was not amused .Saw our first wombat here !!!!!!!!
