Bangkok what a big and busy place!! We only stayed one night in the hostel it was OK but could have done with a little sprucing up and I'm not sure what they were doing upstairs but it was really noisy ( building work I think!) When we got there we just slept (stirring with every bang of a hammer) I couldn't quite function anymore! Downstairs the hostel was nice with an outdoor area, bar and small swimming pool.
The next day went to the Chatuchak open air market, which apparently is one of the worlds biggest!! How exciting especially for James!! Even I got passed it, it just went on and on and it was hot and it didn't really feel open air due to how close all the stalls were. But it is quite a good market with lots of different things to look at and not just the same thing on every stall. At one end there are some very nice boutique shops with lots of things for the home.( which i wish I could have bought, but we are going back to Bangkok so I will keep them in mind).
