We're here in Bath, and thankfully, the drive was much nicer and shorter than the drive down from Scotland earlier this week. Our B&B here is brilliant! They have a very nice guest lounge room, a very good looking breakfast menu, big room, and free wifi!

We headed up to Stratford-upon-Avon this morning and spent some time wandering through Shakespeare's birthplace, and then Anne Hathaway's cottage. I don't think either of them were quite what we expected, but they were still both very interesting experiences, and a good chance to learn about the houses from the 16th & 17th centuries.

We then started the drive down toward Bath, but went back via Chipping Campden for me to collect my phone charger that I'd left in our B&B there. And then it was about an hour and a half down to a little town called Castle Combe, just to the east of Bath. They call themselves the 'prettiest village in England'. Hard to say if it's the peak of 'prettiness', having not visited all of England's villages... but it was definitely something special. Beautiful houses close to the roads, a river running right beside the village... it was very nice.

After some photos and just a wander through their little town, we hopped back in the car and headed here to Bath.

It's nice to just enjoy some relax time now before wandering down the hill into the city to see what's around for dinner.
