I broke a new bus journey record with an epic 40 hour bus straight up the coast from Patagonia to BA which was not really fantastic. I had planned to do some more trekking but Torres del Paine had taken my ankle victim and I had to scrap that plan in favour of running to my relatives back in the north of the country for some Argentine hospitality. I stayed in the suburbs of the city with various different sorts of cousins of mine that live there (1st cousins once removed and 2nd cousins I think we worked out!). It was really nice to stay in an actual home, let alone not having to pay for the night, and I was treated to obscene amounts of dulce de leche and enormous amounts of meat, typical of the country. I spent most of my time in the city relaxing and recovering from treks and bus journeys, although it was made difficult by the inescapable heat that was quite oppressive. Downtown BA was the usual city business - lots of cars, pollution and noise - and I was quite lazy in terms of visiting other areas so not too much to report here.
