Some countries and States go a bit over the top with their tourism taglines..................
Western Australia 'State of Excitement'...........
South Australia "The Festival State'...........

And these aren't even the most misleading..........America alone must have thousands........

However I think "Incredible India" might just be on the money, lets see, so far we have been here six days and have.....1) had a car accident in the airport!, our cabbie claims not to  have seen the steel fence and gate......
            2) Had to get over a souvenir of tropical fever from Thailand that left Angie telling me there were 'Green
Parrots on the streets' in the middle of the night and left me strangely unable to stand for some time....
             3) Survived a Mini-Tornado or something not quite so dramatic but still powerful enough to collapse a
neighbouring wall onto our poor defenceless balcony, breakfast table and chairs......leaving only a few
rather heavy looking chunks of masonry at our bedroom door......
             4) An then later that evening we were some of the lucky people who didn't go to Jaipur Bazaar for a
spot of shopping despite being there the night before and that afternoon. Fortunately we just heard
some curiously loud noises and wondered if they could be more thunder and a return storm......
before heading outside and seeing clear sky and falcon call..............maybe the army was 'skylarking'
as the Australian army might put it.................but after dinner at a roadside stall we saw carnage on
the news and though gosh that looks like Jaipur.........'no surely not'...........but minutes later our friend
                 Kumar confirmed.

We are very lucky people and we are now thinking the extortionate price of 150,000 Dong (about ten bucks)
for those long-life bracelets we bought on the beach in Hoi An, Vietnam were a very shrewd investment indeed.

India is a completely absorbing and most often perplexing place.............The news until these bomb blasts have been saturated with 'SlapGate' which for those not in the know is a row, from what i can gather, over the cricketer Sreenrath crying like a girl on the cricket pitch, no..........I jest it appears its over the fact Harbajian Singh splapped him and made him cry............whatever it's about it's 24/7... well 23.5/7..........despite there being other bombings, honour killings, poverty, serious corruption and quite a few other real new stories..........Regardless it is absolutely absorbing............colour is pumped up in places and drained from others..........food smells and tastes so good but makes you smell so bad, landscapes are on the move all the time, and time itself seems to jump back and forth between centuries with ease.....

So yeah.............'Incredible India'...................a tagline you can trust..............

Much love to you all...........and we'll be practicing our 'duck and cover' moves..........
