Last ewekend I went to HluHlue Game Reserve and went on an african safari-which I might add was incredible. It was like being in the movie "Jurasic Park", but of course with exotic animals instead of dinosaurs!! There were about eight of us in a 4X4, in search of the beast! We started early (5:30am) and spent all day searching for South Africa's "Big 5"-Lion,Leopard,Buffalo,Elephant and Rhino. Well, we didn't see the cats-but we found the rest and saw a multitude of other wild animals. I'll tell you, there is nothing like seeing these animals in their own habitat-we were in THIER world! We were on the safari all day, and there is nothing else like it! We spent the night in this cool bush camp, and the next morning we went to St. Lucia Wetlands Park where we went on a boat cruising spotting a lot of Hippo and Crocadiles (also in the wild). Did you know that the Hippo is Africa's most dangerous animal? It was responsible for over 6,000 deaths last year! Crazy!!!Anyways-here are a few photos!
