Pichilemu is a coastal town about 3 hours from Santiago. Its home to the best left hander wave on the entire West coast of South America! Its unreal.
We are situated at a hostel run by a mad, and I mean absolutely MAD Australian guy. A late 30 something mess from Perth. Hes a complete alcoholic and is trying to build another 5 cabins here but for the last 7 years he has been drinking all his income. We went out with him the other night and he fell asleep at the table. We snuck out and found another pub.
Yesterday we hired Body boards in the morning and surfboards in the afternoon. I went out and absolutely shredded the waves here. I managed to pull of a couple of air 360s and am now a local hero (please note this may not be the truth).

It was Australia day yesterday so we had an BBQ with a whole sheep thrown on. It turned out pretty good even if it was only ready at 11.30pm. Like everything in this hostel things just don't seem to happen on time!! The view from this hostel however is pretty stunning with a view of the point and two separate beaches. Also the sun sets over the water for a pretty nice sunset.

There are also 4 really cool dogs here, all with very different personalities.
Sheila - loyal and very knocked up , Scruffy - stuck on the roof the whole time until she comes off heat and craving attention, Fido - The only male and massive attention seeker and my favorite Lucia the Nutcase ankle biter..
