The last two weeks I've had a real battle deciding what to do next. Travelling on the NZ dollar instead of the almighty British pound has left my coffers a little on the light side (Damn all those impromptu piss ups!), meaning that my original plans of gallavanting down the East Coast of OZ are becoming less likely. Now I was left with a mass of complicated options. I have to be in Perth for a mates birthday bash at the start of july. Also thrown into the mix I've been asked to go to the Whitsunday Islands with Mark my mate who was travlling with me a bit at the start of this trip. Another problem is that I had little money and needed to sell my car at some stage.
To cut a long story short everything fell into place pretty quickly once I decided to sell the car. It was sold within 2 days and suddenly I had enough cash and nothing holding me back. I decided not to fly home to see the family again (sorry!!) and once I had my passport sent up form home I was booked onto a flight for two days later. Sweet!!!
My last couple of days was spent tying up some loose ends and chilling out with my sister before I had to catch the last bus to the airport and spend the night there before my 4:30 check in.
Travelling NZ has been an absolute blast. I now appreciate just how gorgeous NZ really is without being to one eyed. The South Island was for me a whole lot better than the North, but insaying that the North was still awesome too. Its been great also having the freedom to drive again after getting my full licence some 8 years after I got my restricted and being able to go to those little far flung places. I also really enjoyed travelling with my mates and catching up with various family throughout the country. My only hope for NZ now is that we win the Bloody Rugby World Cup this year - Surley!!!!!
