Hot Water Beach is a strange Unique place in the world where the super heated volcanic water rises up through the beach only at low tide, where people can create their own thermal pools for free.
I was a little skeptical about Hot Water Beach but after observing people digging their holes and having different levels of luck with water temperature I found my spot in the ever disappearing real estate. I found a prime place where the hot springs that filter up through the sands seemed to be coming from. I used my metal dinner plate as a spade which worked a treat and before long had a little hot pool to myself. The problem was the hot pool kept getting hotter and hotter and hotter until my arse was burning so bad I was forced out. I Then decided to dig beside my original hole and only found cold water. Having a stoke of genius i dug a small channel form my original pool a foot away and channeled the hot into the cold creating the perfect temperature. I then used the metal place as a tap letter more hot water in as required. And here I stayed for the next three hours. It is a slightly unusual atmosphere and the space became more scare as more and more people arrived, but I was sorted. Meanwhile i kept laughing at the people who kept burning their feet in my original pool that had become the hottest water in the area.

After the pools I was going to head to Cathedral Cove but this was closed for the filming of the big budget movie Chronicles of Narnia - How rude. I ended up on Hahei Beach not far away for lunch amid golden sands, crystal blue water and many little inlets and islands.
