The beauty of Pummukkale is still very much apparent even though most of the calcium rich Travertine Pools were currently closed due to restoration. Some of the pools were however still open and the warm water was relaxing to paddle in. The Terraces are such a visually stunning place and have to be seen to be believed. The sunsets over the pools were also amazing.
Apart from the attraction of the pools Pummukkale also has the immense Roman ruins Hierapolis at the top of the hill. The large sight is still mostly free for people to roam amongst and has a very peaceful feel to them. These combine with the pools to make another excellent destination.
