Olimpos had a very chilled out, earthy backpackers feel about it and all though blantantly touristy it was a great place to chill out, party hard or both. There were half a dozen different pensions to stay at, all with their own unique point of interest. We stayed in the Orange Pension Tree House, amid the shady orchard of orange trees out the back. The cabin we stayed in was nothing more than a basic wooden tree hut, consiting of nothing more than the bedding, but thats all you really need, somewhere to stash your gear while you chilled out on the beach. There was aslo a nice cooling seaside breeze, which made for a better nights sleep.

We spent a couple of days on the pebble beach in this idealic beach setting. Another awesome point, were the Greek ruins that were scattered about in the forest from the beach to the tree houses. You could just venture out into the forset and trip over excellent ruins, a photographers delight. On one night we visited the Chimaera which we had heard mixed reports about. We found it one of the highlights however. The Chimaera is basically a mountain where natural gas flow through the rock and is on fire creating little pockets of flames all alongside the top of the mountain. It takes a bit of a hike in the dark and you have to watch where you sit.
