Fethiye was a welcomed introduction to a lesser touristy area of turkey. The Ancient rock cut tomb of Amyntas was fascinating to see. Our hostel was a really laid back place to stay, which was just as well as we were stuck inside for a day as Turkey was having its census meaning no one was aloud to leave their homes. We did however manage to sneak down to another hotel that we were allowed to use their swimming pool during the day.
From Fethiye we embarked on a 4-day cruise.
The cruise aboard the 'Nicola' turned out to be one of the most relaxing periods to date, baring of course the odd spot of seasickness brought on by too much cheap whiskey.

Our four-day cruise ended up stretching out to five days after bad weather delayed us for a few hours on the first day and they decide to give us a free day. Our captains Ramazon and Errol were utterly useless at giving us any information and spent most of their time chasing the females aboard. Our fellow travellers Jeff, Alice, Ness, Kate, Shelley and Justin all turned out to be great fun, which made for a couple of interesting nights on the juice. The food on board was amazing!

Emilie had her 21st birthday while on board and we had plenty of Champagne on board to celebrate. I also threw together a birthday cake. The next day we were all feeling really rough as the celebrations had gotten pretty wild. Jeff, another Kiwi and I decide to polish of a bottle of cheap whiskey and the next day we were both feeling the affects. This was made worse buy the constant rocking of the boat.
Some of the highlights of the cruise were Oludeniz beach, St Nicholas Island, Butterfly Valley, Kas and Sunken Underwater City which all-stunning. But the main highlight was just sunbathing on the deck and the water that was amazingly clear, blue and warm.
