We had a stunning boat ride past the cliffs with the bright white town of Santorini stretching along the ridge. We then really hit the jackpot in Santorini with our choice of studio, which was located on the black sands of Kamari beach. The place was beautifully decorated and even included a four poster bed. We bathed on the hot black sands for two days before heading into the town of Fira to wander among the white houses and churches sewn into the volcanic cliffs. Here were all that fantastic images of whitewashed buildings with deep blue oceans and islands appearing in the distance.
