We caught the ferry from Gibraltar over to the port of Ceuta during the day into North Africa with the Riff Mountains rising in the background. After customs and in an entirely different culture we caught a taxi with another Spanish couple who were also heading south. We finally arrive in Tetouan and were a little bit shocked with all the hustle and bustle and after arriving with no map and being swamped by would be guides who lead us around in circles we finally found a hotel to crash in for the night. It was our first experience at the squatter style toilet that we would grow familiar with. We ventured out for a couple of hours to the main plaza, which was full of late night action.
