Unfortunately the walled town of Evora turned out to be less than impressive for me, mainly because of already having seen such towns as Avingon and Carcassonne which were always going to be ahrd to top. However Evora still held its own unique beauty over the other two. The houses within tghe inner walls were mainly white washed houses with yellow trimming. We visited the roman Temple of Diana and Igreja de Sao Francisco which were the main points of interest in the town. The Church of San Francisco housed the haunting but stunning Capela Dos Ossos, which is a complete chapel made entirely from human bones.
