I was only in Ljubljana for half a day. I spent the time in the brilliant weather strolling down the scenic streets. I visited the Franciscan Church and nearby triple bridge before spending an hour and a ½ looking for a cash machine. After I had finally gotten some cash I climbed round and up to Ljubljana Castle and climbed the tower there for a 360-degree view of the town. Ljubljana had a very youthful and new Europe hipness to it. There is a large university here and loads of restaurants and outdoor cafes only the streets. Anyway I finally decided to go to the northern Croatian coast for about 8 days for a bit of relaxation on the beaches. Well that was the plan anyway. I brought my ticket that resembled a tiny piece of cardboard and hoped onto my train where there were a couple of English guys I had met in Zagreb. I think I was meant to get of at some random station and change trains but the short of it is that I ended up in Venice anyway. One of the English boys kindly lent me some cash to pay for the ticket and late at night we ended up in Venice.
