After catching the bus I was in Trg Jelacia the main square of Zagreb by midday. From there I walked through the Dolac Market which was packed. The next stop was the twin spired St Stephens Cathedral, which unfortunately was caught up in a net of scaffolding. I worked my way back down the hill to Trg Jelacia where I sat in the sun and people watched for an hour before walking up the hill to see St Marks, Parliament and the Lotrscak Tower, which I climbed for a stunning view of Zagreb. The receptionist asked me where I was from and then went on to point out the best parts of Croatia, all of it apparently! He also gave me some advice on Bosnia and landmines. Later that day I went to the movies again to watch the Matrix. After that I went back to the hostel to discover another 3 kiwis had arrived in the room. Ended up going out for a few beers that night.
