Was meant to have an early night sleep last night but ended up watching MTV all night. Anyway up at 6am to catch the bus into Latvia today. Before I knew it I was in Riga the capital. It has a completely different feel than Estonia and has a very Russian feel about it, a real old school eastern bloc feel. At first I didn't think Riga was an overly attractive city but that is because all the noteworthy sights were spread out and in the end on reflection there was probably more to do than Tallinn. Its so cheap here as well! At night all the locals and foreigners seem to have a good time at the many outdoor cafes and bars hosting bands and Karaoke. I stayed in the same Mosquito ridden hotel for another night and spent the next day relaxing and itching and wandering around the rest of the city.
