In Helsinki I was fortunate to find a cool hostel near the centre. I took to the streets immediately to check out the sights. The most impressive was the Tuomiokirkko a huge presence of a cathedral in the main square. Helsinki like Turku also housed a market, this time on the docks that was very colourful and full of life. I ended up having a delicious corn on the cob from a street vendor. Yummmm.
I did loads of walking around the city, docks, parks and lakes. There is a more mainstream-urbanised feel to Helsinki with loads of easy going cafes, parks and a bustling waterfront
The next day I had a really relaxing day. I was packed up and checked out of my hostel my 9.30am and in town for a final look around. My ferry didn't leave to 5pm so I spent a good 3-4 hours lying in the sun next to the docks before catching my ferry to Tallinn in Estonia
