I spent the day in Fredrikshaven before boarding the ferry in the afternoon to Sweden. I ended up staying in a hostel and my first bed since Czech. I was extremely lucky to catch Gothenburg at this time, as there was a massive music festival in full swing when I arrived. I spent some time at the festival before strolling the main sights and then spent the evening down by the docks and the Opera House amongst hundreds of people mingling.
Later that night I went back to the festival and watched some more bands play in the tents before there was a huge firework display over the city. Gothenburg had turned out to be one of my favourite cities due to the atmosphere.
