Up early so we can see some sights before we go south of London to meet my uncle for the day. Took the tube down to past the train station and then weaved our way back to the station.

One of the highlights for me was definitely Buckingham Palace. I don't know why, but I love the famous sights. Also saw the Parliament Buildings and Big Ben again, the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, the place where the horse guards should be (they weren't there though) and 10 Downing Street.

When we got to Victoria Station to catch our train the line was so long to buy tickets we missed our train. Not the end of the world though, we just had to wait 30 minutes for the next one.

My Uncle Frank picked us up at a train station just south of London and showed us around where my dad grew up. We went into and took pictures of the train station where my Dad and my Grandfather used to work. This was an absolutely amazing day. I somehow don't know much about my dad's past, so I loved having the chance to see and hear about those things. My uncle is a good story teller so we both really enjoyed the time with him. He took us to a country pub for a very good lunch and a pint of beer. Whatever the type of beer it is I had it is apparently a big deal and not easy to get - it was excellent by the way.

Back to London for some wandering around the South Bank, eventually working our way back to the B&B.
