September 9/07 approx. 7pm
So I'm in Brighton now. It was a bit of an adventure getting here. The plane went very well - I didn't know it was possible to have so much room on a plane. We got in early and I had no problem finding or paying for the bus. The problem was that our driver ignored reports that the motorway was closed and we got stuck in a horrible traffic jam, on a hot day, in a bus that the air conditioning wasn't working right. Then, to make my day even more interesting, when I got to Brighton I realized there was some sort of a motorcycle festival going on. Those of you who know me well know I hate their noise.

Doesn't matter - I'm happy. I write this as I sit on the rocky Brighton beach, as the sun prepares to set. It's chilly for short sleeves, yet their are a few brave [foolish] souls swimming.

The air doesn't smell salty - odd to me. The peach is a pebble beach, with rocks an inch to a few inches big. Not terribly comfy on the butt. People - couples and some small groups - have tiny smoky fires - some of the smoke smells suspicious. It is a very wide beach, very steep down to the water.

I will cut tonight short due to extreme tiredness.
