3.30am this morning... much to the disgust of Puku we dragged ourselves outa bed to be at Kerry and Michael's by 4am... once there and after a surprisingly quick and easy effort we squeezed all 6 suitcases, three laptops, two camera bags and of course the 6 of us into the Odyssey and were on our merry way *grumble grumble* to Melbourne Airport! Check in and boarding went smoothly and then there was the plane ride. 6 freaken hours! Total snore fest although I did managed to get half an episode of the Simpsons shut eye in! Pathetic I know!
We landed in Denpasar where we were greeted with cool bottled water and icy cold refresher towels from our drivers.
So the drive from the airport in Denpasar to our villa in Seminyak wasn't as bad as I thought... but I must admit I was too busy gawking and trying to take in everything around me all at once to notice the organised kaos on the roads!
We arrived at our beautiful villas 2 hours before our actual check-in which gave us a great chance to take a little tiki tour around the neighborhood and also grab a nice cool beverage.  Mojito anyone?
Back at the Villa's which by the way are amaaaaazing.... and rooms all sorted Bee and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and get in some tanning time for the wedding and a cool down in the pool. *Little lesson learned: when jumping backwards into the pool for a photo you WILL get water up your nose and down your throat if you don't a) block your nose and b) shut your damn gobb!!* tehehe...
Because of the early morning start, the long flight and the humid weather it has been a very lazy afternoon.
So tonight we plan on venturing out to Kuta to a local restaurant to try the Balinese and Indonesian cuisine... nom nom nom
Seriously i could get used to this...

Update: After dinner we decided to go for a walk through Kuta and boy what a culture shock! Being lured into who knows where to buy watches, handbags, apparently for very cheap or even free!! haha yea... no thank you ;-)   Still I really enjoyed leisurely strolling around the streets taking in absolutely everything.
