For the pass 2 days, i have  been visiting the 3 islands.  Uros *the floating island", amantani and tequile.  Uros is the closest one and the most particular one where people live on this floating island where they need to add layers every month and that the base is anchor in the lake.  It would last for about 65-70 years before they will need to construct another one.

From Uros to Amantani is a long 4 hours boat ride where the wave got bigger as we got closer and closer to Amantani.  It is a beautiful island where people live a really simple life, agriculture and textile.  I stayed there for a night in a family.  They are very kind and friendly.  They do have electricity but it is operated with solar panel from the rooftop, so no hot shower, only cold ones.  It is pretty cold on Amantani, and it rains during night and early morning.  There's also a small little hill on the island where we hike up and have a good view of the surrounding. THere's also temple that is only open once a year for religious practice.

The next day, we went to Tequile.  Tequile looks pretty much alike Amantani except the mans also do textile, and there textile is different from those on Amantani island.  Especially those that have symbolic meaning ex. textile of authorities, single women, single men etc. Arriving to Tequile we need to hike the andean flat to arrive to the square....hehe the inka structure is everywhere! We had a great lunch here with trouts. it was very good. Then another 3 hours boat ride before heading back to Puno.

I met a girl from Vancouver on the boat, so we explore Puno together afterward, PUno is really small and they major street is really Lima street where there are restaurant, and there is also a small plaza de armas....

Tomorrow morning, i will be heading to my next destination, Arequipa.
