Months of planning and anticipation culminated in my fall break trip to Italy for a week. The cheapest flights were from Brussels to Milan and cost around 15 euros each way! Milan also happens to be where a good friend from high school, who studied abroad at Maranacook, lives. Margherita was more than happy to give Chris and I a place to stay for a couple days and even be our tour guide, chef, and travel agent. Unfortunately the weather in Milan was extremely rainy and we spent lots of time indoors and under umbrellas. The city is somewhat similar to Brussels in that it is a business city not a tourist city. Because of this it was extremely helpful to have Marghe to take us around to all the sights and organize our time! Here are some of the places we went to on Saturday and Sunday. Halloween was celebrated but it was relatively low key and it was easy to forget that's what day it was.
