We arrived at Emilys on the 22nd December, 2007. My family was spending Christmas in Missouri with hers.
During this time not only did Father Christmas have a visit, we went to the Children's Museum and also the Arch. It was cold, but not cold, cold. We were given Jack O back, because at this time it had been decided he would become an IRD ambassador and be sent on to different places around the world to stay with GERDlings everywhere. We left Emilys on Dec 27th. We took the Amtrak train to Chicago. Here was another IRD meet up. Emily, me (Rachel) and Minnie caught up on the weekend. I of course didn't get any photos of Jack and us but I did get ones of Emily Minnie and myself.
Minnie's son Eric has reflux and has been battling GERD for three years now, who says they grow out of it at one? My son Parker is the GERDling in the family and he too is past three now. He and Eric are very similar in their problems and it was great for them to meet. Parker now knows there is someone just like him. Emilys son Jackson, who is now 2, is her GERDling, all I can say is reflux is one of the biggest challenges we have ever had to deal with and was nothing like the 'my child has reflux and outgrew it' or 'a chiro cures it'. BUT the plus is I did get to meet some very, very special people.
In Chicago we went had a girls night and also went to the Children's Museum and Shedd Aquarium, we also went to the Field Museum and Hancock tower. Emily, Dan and I also got to see Phantom of the Opera, which was just WOW! More thumbnails ...
